In January 2007, global attention was riveted on Cebu as a played host to the heads of state of the 10-member ASEAN.
On June 14 and 15, Cebu Business Month (CBM) will again play host to an international conference and exhibition, this time with a focus on Tourism. Entitled “Inspiring Cebu: Gateway to Asia,” the CBM ASEAN Tourism Congress intends to provide a venue for discussion of tourism as a key driver of economic growth and development for Asia.
Senior executives from leading tourism, travel, convention and exhibition organizations as well as government and media organizations focusing on tourism will converge in Cebu to discuss strategic issues such as country and regional branding and promotions, facilities marketing and management, air travel, and best practices.
For the past eight years, CCCI has organized Cebu Business Month (CBM) to celebrate the significant achievements and leadership role that Cebu businessmen play in enterprise development, socio-economic prosperity and nation building.
This year, CBM ASEAN Tourism Congress is being held in conjunction with the Department of Tourism and in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the Department of Trade and Industry and the Philippine Board of Investments.
The congress will take place at the Ceremony Hall located on the second floor of the Cebu International Convention Center.
